Introduction -

 The Cai Ben Floating Market in Vinh Long Province is very much a heart of activity of the locals that reside along this canals. The activity is similar to the ones found in the Thailand Floating Market where goods of all sorts are sold and traded among the locals. Be prepared to be hounded and pressed by the merchants as u take a boat ride throught the market.

Program Schedule

Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City 

Arrival, meet representative at airport and transfer to hotel. Free for the night, overnight in Saigon.

Day 2 SAIGON-CUCHI-SAIGON (B, L, D)

Cuchi Tunnel

ABF in hotel, Visit Chinatown and Tien Hou Temple-one of the oldest Vietnamese-Chinese clan run temple in Saigon. Proceed to Cu Chi village - Cuchi tunnel, tour to find out the historical tunnel with 200km underground network tunnels which the Liberation Army fought against the Americans in Vietnam War, the tunnels are 60-70cm wide and 80-90cm high but many has been re constructed for easy access to tourists. The tunnels are also approxmately 3-4metres deep and there is also a live firing range where toursits are able to buy live bullets (own expense) for various types of guns, handguns, machine guns and rifles used during the days of war. Back to HCM City for buffet lunch, Cruise Dinner

visit the War Museum - historic pictures and warfare machines are displayed in this museum as well as pictures of individuals accounting their stories during the duration of war. There are also numerous snapshots by the American War reporters during the whole outcome of war and their opinions and articles as well, then continue city tour – Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Post Office etc.. Dinner onboard a cruise ship on Saigon River with live music performance. After dinner, back to hotel, overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 3 FLOATING MARKET MEKONG TOUR (B, L, D)

Floating Market

Morning Breakfasts at Hotel, Proceed to Cai Ben Floating Market Vinh Long Province, Handicraft village: pop-rice, rice-paper, coconut candy or dehydrated longan factory, visit Fishing activity in Cai Be River. Visit the fruit garden and Traditional house in the South: Mr.Cai Huy’s house (1860) or Mr.Kiet’s house. Lunch at local restaurant, back to HCM City. Dinner, after proceed to watch evening water puppet show, back to hotelhotel, free for the night.

The inhabitants of the Mekong Delta region are largely ethnic Viet, with Khmer minority populations living primarily in the Tra Vinh, Soc Trang, and An Giang provinces. There are also sizeable Chinese minority populations in the Kien Giang and Tra Vinh provinces.

Day 4 DEPARTURE (B)

Free till time for check out and deprature to airport for flight back to Singapore.
